Royalty-free

A licensing model where you pay once and may use the asset many times with no per-use fees — but "royalty-free" is not the same as "free" or "unrestricted", and it usually still limits resale and redistribution.

Also called: RF

Royalty-free (RF) means the royalty — a recurring per-use payment — is waived after a single purchase; it does not mean the asset is free of charge or free of terms. A typical RF licence still caps things like resale, redistribution, and use inside a template you on-sell, and it is distinct from rights-managed licensing (which charges per specific use).

For mockups this is the practical question behind a commercial license: “royalty-free” tells you that you won’t pay again per project, but you still have to read what the licence forbids. See the licenses section for marketplace specifics.
