Commercial license
The usage rights that permit a mockup or template to be used in paid client work or in products offered for sale — as opposed to personal-only or editorial-only use.
Also called: commercial use, extended license
A commercial license is the part of a mockup’s terms that decides whether you can legally use it for money: client deliverables, marketing, or items you sell. Marketplaces word this very differently — some include commercial use in a standard license, others gate it behind an “extended” or “multi-use” tier, and a few prohibit using the rendered mockup inside templates you then resell.
Reading the licence before you buy is non-negotiable for professional work; licence clarity is one of the things TheLayer checks and flags in every review. See the licenses section for marketplace-by-marketplace notes.
